  • Newfriars College Awarded Skills Builder Bronze Award

    Tue 19 Sep 2023

We are pleased to announce that the Skills Builder Partnership has awarded Newfriars College a Bronze award as part of their award scheme. This recognises our efforts and commitment to implementing the Skills Builder Framework at the college. It is a testament to the dedicated work of our staff, students, and parents, and we look forward to continuing our work with the Skills Builder Partnership this academic year.

This award demonstrates our commitment to embedding key transferable employability skills across all areas of college life. Enabling our students to thrive not only in college but also in their future lives, no matter what that future looks like. As a result, embedding the Skills Builder framework throughout our curriculum supports our students in acquiring the eight necessary skills for employment and adulthood.

  • Online Safety at Newfriars College

Wed 16 Mar 2022 Jay Marshall

Online Safety Message. Today our Vocational Pathway students had an assembly about ‘phishing’. We talked about not clicking on links you do not know, being very careful when you are asked to sign into anything and to check website and email details carefully. Is this person or company who they say they are? It can be difficult to spot the fake or scam messages.
