Educational Trips and Visits at Newfriars College

Getting out and about is part of everyday life at the College. We have buses and bus drivers available every day to take students out on visits and trips that are preparing our young people for adulthood as well as making College fun.

A student at the College could visit: cafes, parks, museums, shops, places in our local community, places of worship, visits to employers and businesses, cinema, bowling, theatre, farms, garden centres....the list goes on!

Each visit gives students the chance to become more confident in the community, to meet new people, to learn to use their voice/communication devices, to make choices, to learn to use money, to be more confident about using public transport, to learn about what facilities are available in the community, to be with friends, to make happy memories, to have fun.
